Kauai Springs

Water is Life

Mt. Wai’ale’ale is recognized as the wettest spot on Earth. The plentiful rain here seeps into the volcanic soil and rock which is porous. This creates a natural filtration system for the water which has been flowing here for millions of years. The pristine, mineralized, filtered water eventually settles into underground aquifers which then flow as natural springs through the mountains of Kauai, into streams and rivers, and eventually into the Pacific Ocean.

Kauai currently imports 100% of all bottled water consumed here

This is ridiculous for many reasons. Right now we get our bottled water from companies located in places like Fiji and France. Energy is wasted getting the water here, we are forced to pay a premium for the water, then most of the plastic bottles end up in our already full landfill.

Soon, we will be Sustainably bottling Kauai Spring water for local distribution. This means that we will only be harvesting an amount of water from a source that will cause no environmental damage to natural rivers, streams, and eco-systems. Environmental studies will be done by qualified biologists and hydrologists to ensure this promise.

Earth Friendly Compostable Corn Bottles

The water will be bottled in a new revolutionary alternative to plastic material called PLA which is 100% non-toxic and completely compostable. In a compost environment, the bottle and label will completely biodegrade back into soil within approximately 90 days! We will also collect these bottles and burn them as fuel which will create electricity at a new biomass power-plant being built in Koloa. These bottles are much safer than normal plastic bottles which are being proven to leach toxic chemicals into the water within which then goes into our bodies.

Kauai residents will be able to purchase Kauai spring water for a very inexpensive wholesale price while visitors to the island will pay the retail cost at resorts/hotels/etc.

A Portion of all future net proceeds from this business will go directly back to the Island of Kauai in order to help insure that all Kauai residents have access to clean drinking water, food, and shelter.
